Admin Lights

Admin Lights for Work After Dark

Not every job needs a weapon light. Admin lights are the low-output workhorses for map checks, gear adjustments, and camp chores after dark, tame enough to preserve your adapted eyes. Stock rotates, so reach out for current availability.

Where Admin Lights Earn Their Keep

Night vision operators

A night vision admin light in IR or deep red handles tasks under goggles without blooming the tubes.

Map checks & navigation

Confirm position and plot routes with light too dim to give away your location.

Camp & basecamp tasks

Cooking, gear repairs, and tent setup after sunset without blinding the group.

Vehicle & duty use

Glovebox paperwork, equipment checks, and inspections on night shifts.

Choosing an Admin Light

Output, color, and mounting decide what a tactical admin light can do for you. Tell us how you run at night and we will line up the right option when stock lands.

Output

Lower is better for admin work. A few lumens reads a map; hundreds destroy your night vision.

Color

Red preserves adaptation, white shows true color, IR stays invisible without goggles.

Mounting

Helmet, rail, MOLLE clip, or pocket. Match the mount to where your hands already are.

Battery

Coin cells keep lights tiny; AA and CR123 formats run longer and share batteries with the rest of your kit.

ADMIN LIGHT FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

A low-output light for administrative tasks in the dark: reading maps, adjusting gear, working on equipment. The opposite of a blinding tactical searchlight.

Pointing a weapon at a map is a safety violation, and weapon lights are far too bright for close work. Admin lights exist so muzzle discipline and night adaptation both survive.

Red preserves night adaptation for repeated checks. White shows true color for detail work. IR is invisible without night vision, for when light discipline is absolute.

Low-output red and IR modes are gentle on tubes. Bright white at close range can bloom older tubes, so run the dimmest setting that does the job.
